About

Opened in February of 1953, the Trading Post is a well-established thrift shop in Grandview that offers an eclectic array of clothing, household items and much more at bargain prices.
Staffed by volunteers, the Post is going strong after more than 60 years!
Located at the corner of First and Cambridge Boulevard, the store can be found in the basement of the brick annex building on the campus of First Community South.
The store supports First Community Missions, which benefits the church, the community, and missions at home and around the world.

Be a Customer

Our shop is welcoming, cheerful and well-organized, and the prices can’t be beat.
Shopping at the Trading Post is always a fun treasure hunt. You never know what you will find because new merchandise is put out on the sales floor daily.
Trading Post profits support the many local, national and international missions of First Community. Click here for more information on First Community Missions.
Follow us on social media or sign up for our email list to be notified of sales and events.

Be a volunteer

The Trading Post is staffed entirely by volunteers. Share your spare hours with the Trading Post.
Volunteer jobs include clerking, cashiering and tagging merchandise. Volunteers choose a three hour shift (10 am – 1 pm or 1 pm – 4 pm) on one of the days we are open.
Friendly faces will greet you and help you learn the work. Contact us for more information.

Be a Donor

Donations of gently used clothes and household items are accepted during open business hours.
If you have items you would like to donate to the Trading Post, they can be dropped off at the Annex Building at First Community South during our open hours.
In addition, there is a donation bin in the Cloak Room at First Community South. We accept most items except for furniture and anything too large due to space and weight constraints.
Click here for a complete list of accepted items.
