An integral part of The Burkhart Center, Adult Learning provides adult classes, small groups, and programs that develop wholeness of body, mind, and spirit. Our informative programs provide insight, spiritual enrichment, and inspiration and create a shared bond of community. We encourage questions and foster discussion so that each participant may discover an individualized path to spiritual wellness. Fosters in-depth studies in Christian thought and history.

Tuesday at Ten
Tuesday: South 10 – 11:30 am
Challenging inquiries into broad fields of study from the theological to the philosophical to the literary.

Discussions oriented around the deeper realms of spirituality and personal transformation.

Evening 'Salons' and series

Often faculty or clergy-led presentations, recent ones have included Archeology and the Bible, and Womanist Midrash: A Reintroduction to Women of the Torah and My Israeli Story with Merav Livneh-Dill, the Israeli Emissary to Columbus. Book signing event with Bishop John Shelby Spong

Short or longer-term studies on various topics from the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures. Senior Minister Bible Studies are led by Rev. Glen Miles each Fall and Spring. Rev. Jim Long leads a weekly study during the program year with various themes. Periodic short-term or one-evening studies led by other clergy as well.
