JOB TITLE: Camp Akita Administrative Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director of North Administration & Camp Akita Operations
FLSA STATUS: Non‐Exempt
HOURS: Full time, with flexible schedule possible
LOCATION: North – 3777 Dublin Rd, Columbus

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary responsibilities include providing administrative and program support for Camp Akita programs and activities, coordinated at the North Campus of First Community Church. These programs include support for all summer camps, outdoor education programs throughout the year, donor and fundraising activities, and some responsibilities associated with Akita Council functions.

The Coordinator will also provide administrative support for the Minister to Camp Akita, as requested. In addition, this position will maintain a general knowledge of other North Campus programs to provide backup assistance for other administrative coordinators, as needed. Other projects may be as assigned, as required, by the Director of North Campus Administration & Camp Akita Operations

REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Operations, First Community
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
HOURS: Seasonal, Full-time. Part-time 1/1/2021; Full-time 5/1/2021 until 9/6/2021
LOCATION: Camp Akita, 29746 Logan-Hornsmill Rd, Logan, OH 43138

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Camp Akita, a ministry of First Community Church in Columbus, Ohio, is located 45 miles southeast of Columbus in the hills of Hocking County. The Summer Camp Director will have and demonstrate skills in leading a team through a variety of circumstances and fostering collaboration and a healthy environment. The Summer Camp Director is responsible for maintaining a summer camp culture that emphasizes the camp’s messaging themes, safety and fun, while modeling Camp Akita’s core values of Compassion, Acceptance, Community and Authenticity. This position will provide consistent leadership and oversight of the summer camp’s day-to-day operations, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both campers and staff. The Summer Camp Director is a seasonal position that also includes some pre- and post-summer responsibilities.
