Welcome to the First Community Youth Choirs
Youth Choirs 2025-2026 Season
Tentative Schedule:
Session 1: September 10-December 7, 2025
Session 2: January 7-May 10, 2026
In an emotionally safe environment, the Youth Choirs at First Community Church provide a loving community for children as they explore music literacy and vocal technique. Children in the choirs become active and confident participants in worship as they bring their song of praise and prayer to God.
All K-8 choirs are led by Lori Walls
Along with learning music, we:

Cherub Choir for grades K-3, 6-6:30 pm

Youth Choir for grades 4-8, 6:30-7 pm

Youth Bell Choir for all ringers grades 3-12, 7-7:30 pm
All rehearsals will take place in the
Sally Beske Children and Youth Music Room
at First Community North

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Lori Walls-Director of Youth Choirs (K-8).
Lori is starting her 24th year teaching elementary music for Olentangy Local Schools. She earned her undergraduate degree in music education from OSU with specialties in instrumental, choral, and general music. Her master's degree is also in music education from Capital University, along with a Kodaly certification in elementary music. Most recently, Lori earned a master's degree in school counseling for grades K - 12. Lori has a total of 13 years' experience with directing church youth choirs, previously at Linworth and Bexley United Methodist Churches. Lori lives in Dublin with her husband Todd and has two fur babies (cats) Freya and Piper. She is so excited to meet and get to know the wonderful children and families here at First Community.

Funding for the Youth Choirs
Funding for the Youth Choirs is provided by your family’s donation at the time that you register your child, congregational pledges to the general operating fund of the church and by gifts designated to the Youth Choirs. Most of our equipment has been provided for us by grants from First Community Foundation. Thank you for your family’s support. You may securely donate HERE.
