A Morning of Music, Word, and Welcome

MorningSong Worship | Sunday, June 1 at 9 & 11 am | First Community North

You are warmly invited to a powerful and moving worship experience on Sunday, June 1 at MorningSong, our annual service of music and word at First Community North. This year’s MorningSong will feature the combined choirs of First Community Church and a full orchestra, offering a rich and stirring musical experience in our sacred sanctuary.

The theme of the morning is one that speaks to the heart of our faith: fierce love and the inclusion of all in God’s expansive grace. Through music, scripture, and reflection, we’ll explore what it means to be fully seen, wholly loved, and invited, exactly as we are, into the abundant life God offers.

The morning will feature a compelling lineup of choral and orchestral works, including:

  • The Crossing – Ola Gjeilo
  • Ei sgombrerà quel duolo from Come le Limpide Onde (Psalm 42) – Marianna Martines (1744–1812)
  • Siman Tov (A Good Omen) – Coreen Duffy
  • Fierce Love – Brandon Williams
  • Jesus at the Gay Bar – Timothy C. Takach, text by Jay Hulme
  • Home – Ola Gjeilo

This is more than a worship service. It’s a call to remember and reclaim the radical, inclusive love at the center of the Gospel. Whether you are a longtime member or visiting for the first time, we hope you will join us for this celebration of beauty, belonging, and bold faith.

Come, be uplifted. Come, be welcomed.

Come, and experience the power of MorningSong.
