Early Childhood

Our ministry works actively and creatively to provide an engaging, strong church life for young children and their families. We strive to surround families with young children in a community of caring through events, outreach, and education for parents. We also provide childcare for families during worship.

To learn more about our Early Childhood learning programs:

Mary Evan‘s Early Childhood Center (North) is our full-time Early Childhood

First Community Church Preschool (South) is our part-time Preschool Program.

Sunday Morning Programs

Loving care is offered for babies through pre-kindergarten during the North and South Worship Services, in classrooms designed just for children.

Each room has a consistent teacher who will welcome your child and call them by name. Children will learn church is a safe and inviting place that values even its youngest members. Children can be dropped off before worship and picked up immediately after worship.

ABOUT THE TEACHER:

Julie Cannell is retired from her 30-year career as a public-school elementary music teacher this summer and happy to continue to share her love for teaching children on a smaller scale with a new class at FCC, Pre-K Sing and Play. She finds great joy in helping children discover ways to express themselves in and through music. She and her husband Rob, enjoy singing in the FCC Chancel Choir, Marble Cliff Singers, and the Columbus Symphony Chorus, appreciating nature, traveling, spending time with their 5 adult children and 3 grandchildren from their blended family.
