Day 14 (Tuesday)

Daily Devotion: Live

John 4:43-54

Reflection Questions: When do you feel most alive? What does it feel like? When are you the furthest from feeling alive? What can you change?

Prayer: Jesus of Nazareth, over and over and over again, you choose life. You heal us with your hands and your words, saying, “Go, you shall live.” So now that I have this wild and wonderful life, help me to use it to the best of my ability. I see now—this is a gift. Amen.

Musical Reflection: All Belong Here
By: Janelle Rogers
Lent has always been a hallowed time in my faith journey. Over the years I have tried giving up something like chocolate, red wine, or social media, but have found simply setting aside TIME seems to work best for me. I make time in my day to reflect on my relationship with God through worship, readings, and trying to be still. (This is not easy with my four-year-old son running around!) My goal each Lenten season is to simply draw nearer to God.

In the stillness, I thank God for the goodness in my life. I ask God to fill me with peace and to help me remember that I am wholly and completely loved by God. I ask God to help rid my mind of distractions like fear, doubt, and feelings of unworthiness, and I ask God to renew my spirit. For me, Lent is a beautiful time of renewal and reflection.

"All Belong Here" by The Many is a song that the 5:30 Band performed during the 2020 Lenten season. This song speaks the truth that ALL belong at God's table. The lyrics are "Come and remember who you are here. Come and remember who God is. Come and remember you belong here. All belong here."

I hope this song provides a blessing to you.
