Young Adult Ministry
Young Adult Ministry aims to foster authentic relationships between young people (college-age through 30s) and their peers, the ministries of the church, the wider community, and a sense of connection to the Divine. Through fellowship, service, and spiritual growth, we hope to put faith into action, engage with the wider world, and cultivate meaning together. Whether you are a long-time friend of First Community or a brand-new addition, we hope you’ll join us!
Activities include coffee talks, happy hours, mission work, community activism, faith-based discussion, interfaith meals, church-wide events, inclusive worship, and outdoor time at Camp Akita.
The best way to find out about upcoming events is to sign up for emails and follow our social media. Whether you are in college or older, local to Columbus or living out of town, be sure to let us know on this form so we can send you updates.
Youth in middle and high school are invited to gather at First Community to explore their faith, develop meaningful friendships, serve others through purposeful mission projects, and have a really fun time in the process! The First Community Youth Ministry program is where everyone is welcome and affirmed exactly as God created them. Whether we are spending time in the youth room at First Community North or on a retreat at Camp Akita, youth are encouraged to be authentic. Each person brings their doubts, hopes, dreams, and questions. We do not claim to have all the answers, but we promise to walk with each youth on their faith journey!
