Dominican Republic Mission Trip
On the Dominican Republic Mission Trip, high school students from First Community Church spend a week at the Dominica School and Orphanage in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The purpose of the trip is simply to serve in any way we are needed.
Our participants teach classes at the school, work on art projects with the kids, lead kickball and volleyball for gym class, practice speaking English with the high school students, and do work projects to improve the facility. We have come to know this special place as our home away from home, and these children and their caregivers are our family.
The 2017 trip dates are October 15-21.
This trip is for members of the high school graduating classes of 2017, 2018, 2019. This trip fee is entirely tax deductible. If needed, we can set up a payment plan to allow you to pay over time, and scholarships are available if you still need additional support. A lack of money should not be the reason you cannot attend this trip.

Senior Capstone Projects
Some students who participate in the Dominican Republic trip use their experiences as research for their senior capstone projects. If you are interested in doing this, please talk to us and we will help make sure your research is successful.
