The governing body of First Community Church is committed to the Christian tradition with a vision for the future and the ability to lead with innovative ideas.
The Governing Board is designed to provide efficient, effective management with responsibility to the congregation to develop and establish policy decisions necessary to maintain the Church as a dynamic force in the lives of the people and the communities it serves.
Candidates are referred to the Church Nominating Committee by the membership of the church. Self-nominations are accepted. Nominees are selected by the Church Nominating Committee and elected by our active members at the Annual Meeting or nominated from the floor. Board members serve a three-year term under the leadership of the Governing Board Chair. Monthly meetings alternate between the North and South Campuses. North Campus meetings are held in Grace Hall and South Campus meetings are held in Brownlee Hall.
