Board and Council Membership
Become a member of a First Community board or council. Participation typically involves one meeting a month as well as carrying out responsibilities specific to the mission of the council. First Community’s councils open for membership are: Adult Learning, Akita, Early Childhood, K-12, Membership, Mission, Older Adult, Service Board, Spiritual Searcher, Worship & Arts. Consider adopting a plot of land at either campus to maintain as a family, in honor of a loved one, or just because you love to work outside. Your plot will be designated by a special sign so all can admire your handiwork. Thank you for supporting the Facilities ministry in this way! The Furber bookstore at South Campus and the North Campus bookstore are in need of volunteers to sell books on Sundays before / after Worship Services. To sign up, please click here> or email Natalia Jones or call 614 488.0681 ext 105. Volunteers will receive a 20-minute training.

Mission Council Gift Card Sales
Each week Mission Council manages the sale of gift cards to provide support for First Community’s many outreach efforts. New volunteers are needed at the 9:45 NC service and the 11 SC service to help with sales. This is an excellent opportunity to first connect to Mission council and learn more about what the council does to support the mission of First Community church. Tri-Village Trading Post
The Trading Post is a long standing tradition at First Community and is mostly staffed by volunteers! Please consider volunteering in the shop during the week. Training is provided! Memorial Service Volunteers
Frequently First Community Church opens its doors to people as they celebrate the life of a loved one they have lost. Friendly and comforting individuals are needed to help with those services to assist with any needs our visitors may have. Mission Council Gigantic Garage Sale
The Annual Mission Council Garage Sale takes place every May to raise money for the various missions that the church supports. In past years, the sale has earned over $50,000! The garage sale takes over 300 volunteers all of who play a large role in making the event a success! To volunteer please contact Beth Hanson.
